“Out of Reach” 2017

"Out of Reach:" State by State

Each year, the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) produces its “Out of Reach” (OOR) report. The goal is to document “the gap between renters’ wages and the cost of rental housing.

Navigate Affordable Housing Partners has taken NLIHC’s numbers and produced videos highlighting how much people must earn to afford a “modest apartment” in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. We will release the videos by region weekly on our YouTube channel. The videos highlight why the work we all do in Affordable and Public Housing is so important.

See the full report from the National Low Income Housing Coalition. “Out of Reach” 2017 contains tables, maps and state-specific information.
